:O Wow! Best Find of the Month! (For me. . .)

I found this site today by pure happenstance.  It is a goody, too, especially if you do outdoor shows.  The Craft and Show Design has beautiful displays shown.  When I saw it, I felt like it was my page that I made that I never really made, but could have - it was so "me", Looooove it.  Yep, that awesome.

Harbour Island Art Walk 16 December 2012

This was my first outdoor art show.  It turned out to be a beautiful day in Tampa.  I made this delicate ghostly tulle curtain to go in the back.  Since it was breezy, it looked extra pretty.  And, with the scarfs floating on the breeze, it added a fun sense of whimsy.

Here are a few shots of the scarves blowing in the breeze, as well as some random pictures from the art show.

My QR Code to My Facebook Page

On Sunday, I'm selling at the Harbour Island Art Walk.   I'm also having a drawing for a free hand-painted silk scarf.  Any new "Likes" on Facebook between now and December 31, 2012 will be entered into a drawing for the giveaway.   Scan the code to be taken to the link or go to Studio Maux on Facebook!

Interested? Why not? Fun!

The Beginning of This Blog

Enjoying making things is one of the best things that I can do for myself.  It leads to zen moments, escape, and sometimes non-existant, but fun, places that my imagination takes me to.

I decided to make this blog to share things I do outside of my normal artworks, or crafting.

In addition to that, I found this lovely webpage, creativeeveryday.com, which is super cute.  The 2013 challenge sounds like a great idea and worth attempting.  Getting something done EVERYDAY, outside of my normal enjoyments is probably going to be, well, a challenge.  What does one do with a challenge?  Challenge yourself.  Do I think I will be able to participate everyday?  No.  Am I going to try?  Yes. Do I feel silly writing a blog knowing I have no followers? Yes.
